When Burr Roofing, Siding & Windows first showed up to this Norwalk home for an estimate, there were many issues with the overall exterior. The existing siding was old cedar shingle, installed at a 11-13" exposure. It was the original siding to the home and was damaged and/or cracking in multiple areas. We also found damaged plywood underneath the cedar siding that needed to be replaced. The homeowners were looking for a siding that could hold its finish, while maintaining good looks and low maintenance.
The existing windows were older and losing their efficiency, while the existing window casings, rakes, and fascias were all wood and prone to damage.
After finalizing design plans, we started the renovations by tearing off all existing siding and replacing any damaged plywood. We then installed 6 1/4" Smooth James HardiePlank Lap in Cobblestone, paired with HardieTrim to give the homeowners the curb appeal and low maintenance exterior they were hoping for. Next, we installed Marvin All-Ultrex Windows including 1 Bay and 12 Double-Hung windows, all in white to compliment the new siding. By replacing the old windows, these homeowners increased their home's efficiency and built a stronger barrier between indoor and outdoor elements. Now, this home looks better than ever before!
