Meet The Team of Burr Roofing, Siding, & Windows
Below are some of the people you will encounter when working with us. We are very proud of our team and the great service they provide to our customers.
Robert “Woody” Priest
President
Started with Burr: Since Birth
Woody grew up in Burr, getting his start on Saturday mornings as early as five years old holding “the boring end” of the tape measure for his father Bob Priest to aid in measuring roofs. After majoring in Economics & Finance at Eckerd College, Woody joined the family business full time, initially as an estimator, gradually taking on more responsibility, and ultimately buying the business from his father at the end of 2013.
Today, Woody does all the estimating and project design. Since taking over the reins Woody has led the business in a slightly new direction, following his passion for architectural design and dramatic exterior makeovers. Burrs’ new slogan “Life Improving Home Improvement” reflects the same commitment to excellence that Woody’s Father instilled but clarifies the objective of enriching the lives of both our Clients and Team Members through custom exterior remodeling. Our commitment to our clients is to create a custom exterior that is stunningly beautiful, relatively low maintenance, and a fiscally sound investment in the home’s value. Our commitment to our Team Members is to create a meaningful lifelong career based on craftsmanship, pride, and integrity.
Beyond Burr, Woody and his wife Taylor can usually be found on some adventure, usually centered around their other true passions, improving their own home, their dogs, and boating.
Chris Deakins
Area Manager
Started with Burr: 2019
Chris has been a resident of Fairfield County for over 25 years. He raised his two daughters in Wilton, CT, and has worked almost exclusively for local CT companies throughout his career in Finance, Business Development, Consulting, and specializing in Home Improvement.
From supervising numerous home renovations of his own to working with numerous clients in the area, Chris brings his creativity, passion, and an “eye for detail” to every job. He understands the delicate balance of both quality and long-term value and the challenges to incorporate this in between raising a family, job, and never-ending activities. Chris brings this dynamic experience to Burr as an Area Manager, where he will assist clients to realize their vision of life improving home improvement.
Tireless, and always in motion, Chris enjoys most things related to active physical fitness. Favorites would include working out, golf, sports, and numerous other year-round outdoor pursuits.

His attention to detail is what makes him perfect for this role. In his spare time, he enjoys remodeling his own house as well as breeding his beautiful dogs.
Tracy Gelb
Accounting & Human Resources Manager
Started with Burr: 2007
Tracy joined Burr in late December of 2007, shortly after our relocation to our new, larger facilities in Stratford. She immediately jumped in, sorting out the office and arranging the space to work more efficiently. Her organizational skills and experience had an immediate and profound impact on the company and team members. In 2008, Tracy was recognized as CCN’s Rookie Office Manager of the Year for all her hard work.
Now, Tracy has assumed all responsibilities of Office Manager, handling all of Burr’s financials and Human Resources. Thanks to Tracy’s efficiency, the rest of the team is better able to perform their own duties. She is the most important part of Burr’s foundation.
When Tracy isn’t keeping the office in check, she enjoys spending her free time with her daughter Emma. It is such a treat when Emma visits the office, eager to help mom with whatever she can. Maybe one day she will join the Burr family just like her mom!
