Window Installation in Stamford, CT
Challenge
When Burr first arrived to give an estimate at this Stamford home it was obvious that many of the existing windows were inadequate due to failing insulation. The 11 existing casements located at the front of the house were installed poorly as replacement windows by the previous owner. There were an additional five windows throughout the kitchen that also needed replacing. The existing windows were wood casings with wood interior stops. This made it easier to prevent collateral damage to the walls and both interior/exterior casings.
Solution
After speaking with the homeowner, it was decided that an insert would be the best option as to avoid disturbing the exterior window casing. Burr Roofing, Siding, & Windows soon installed Marvin Integrity windows throughout the front porch and kitchen, replacing the window over the kitchen sink with a bay window. All of the new windows were all ultra-white with insulated glass and easy operation. Not only does this home now look great but the homeowners are saving money on heating and cooling costs.
