This roof replacement in Stamford, CT was much needed. Although the outside of this roof does not look awful, the interior rot from leaking and improperly installed shingles made for an emergency situation. Some areas of the roof decking had already failed while mold and mildew were active in the attic and upstairs living space, and it was obvious that water had begun to seep through the interior of the house. Luckily, this homeowner called the professionals are Burr for a solution. Our team installed CertainTeed Landmark 30 shingles in Colonial Slate.
After speaking with the homeowner, it was decided that an insert would be the best option as to avoid disturbing the exterior window casing. We loved bringing some Life Improving Home Improvement to these clients!
This Stamford home needed a whole new exterior to protect the family from exterior elements. Ultimately, they chose to install new James Hardie clapboard siding in Sandstone Beige with a 5” exposure and cedarmill finish. We also replaced the existing roof with CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles. We upgraded the architecture of the home by adding faux gables and a doghouse dormer to the second story. This Stamford home was remodeled using James Hardie clapboard in Cobble Stone with a cedarmill finish to mimic the appearance of traditional wood siding. Unlike wood siding, James Hardie is low maintenance, pest resistant, AND holds a 30-year warranty. Our favorite part of this project was the custom portico build in the front entryway. With overhead lighting and a tall gable, this portico welcomes friends and family inside.
